1. Lemon and Honey

 

Mix lemon juice and honey to make your skin younger and softer looking. You may change the quantity of any of the two as per your skin type. Egyptian women have been using this mixture for thousands of years. You can feel the change after a few minutes.

 

Apply it on your face and let it dry. Wash it with water better if warm. Don’t use any soap after washing it. This can also be used on legs and arms. It is good for pedicure and manicure as well. It’s always better to keep the two separated and in refrigerator. Mix them when you want to apply the mask. Leaving it applied for night will be fine after testing it for a few minutes during the day. Skin sensitivity is different for each individual. 2. Banana and Milk

 

Peel and mash half banana. Add two tablespoons of fresh milk in it. Mix it properly to make a paste. Apply this mask on face and leave it to dry. The benefit of drying it is that will tighten your skin removing wrinkles. This mask when washed with warm water after drying will leave your skin smooth, fresh and glowing. The banana provides fats and proteins to the skin, nourishing it to freshness.

 

3. Turmeric Paste

 

The use of turmeric as a beauty care ingredient is very old and common in Sub-continent. Its juice is applied onto the skin of bridal as a tradition before wedding.  The raw paste is applied for approximately thirty minutes and then washed off. It has been used widely as a home made herbal cosmetic in India. Women use it since ancient times and are still using it throughout the country. It is an essential ingredient of the traditional bath of Indian brides where it is applied before the bath after mixing it with sandal wood making a paste.

 

Regular use of turmeric makes skin softer and smoother. It also adds a glow to the user’s skin and gives a fair complexion. Turmeric is widely prescribed in Indian as a medicine for various skin problems where regular application of its paste is advised. It is used for cleaning the spots of pigments or blotches that appear on the skin, and also for skin disease called eczema. Turmeric is an effective ingredient that is used in traditional medicines for bruises, cuts and minor burns. It has antiseptic effect and also promotes healing.
